- I just got my wifes TSH test reports, and Im really concerned about her health. Her T3 is 1.15, T4 is 77.2, and TSH is 42.14. She doesnt have obvious symptoms, but her menstrual cycle was irregular twice, and she gets irritable at times. I read a bit online and learned that hypothyroidism usually happens when the thyroid is underactive and sometimes shrunken, but in her case, the gland looks inflamed instead. She hasnt gained or lost weight, and theres no hand tremor or anything like that. She does feel tired during the day and has had mood swings for about a week. Could this still be thyroid related? Maybe thyroiditis or subclinical hypothyroidism? Her T3 and T4 levels are normal, so Im confused. Is this something serious or urgent? Were in a remote area, so Id really like to understand whats going on, the possible cause, and if its treatable. Any guidance would be really appreciated.
- My testosterone levels have dropped from 270 ng/dl to 208.83 ng/dl over the past two months. I was tested for various hormones, including LH, FSH, prolactin, estradiol, and thyroid function, and all were normal, except my estradiol which was 30 and TSH at 4.5. Im not on any medications, and I dont have deficiencies in vitamin D, zinc, or other nutrients related to testosterone production. Ive always had low hormone levels and it really affects how I feel every day. I have beta thalassemia minor, chronic back pain, low hemoglobin, weak bones, extra chest fat, and metabolic issues. I also have painful acne that flares up if I eat too much oil or sugar. I feel tired easily and struggle with these issues constantly. Ive been told that endocrinologists arent experts on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), but I need help understanding what could be causing these symptoms and how to improve my situation.
