My wife is currently undergoing TB treatment, but her cough hasnt improved much even after a month of therapy. Her appetite is fine and shes even gained a few kgs, but shes still having some issues with bloody cough, irritation, and fatigue. There are no symptoms of night sweats or fever though. Shes 36 years old and the chest X-ray was clear with negative sputum. Should we be concerned about the bloody cough or irritation? What else can we do to help her recover faster?
It's good to hear that your wifes appetite is improving and she has gained weight. However, the persistent cough, fatigue, and blood in the sputum should be monitored closely. I recommend consulting her doctor to reassess her treatment plan and rule out any complications or need for further investigation, as these symptoms may require adjustment of her therapy or additional tests.
