I've been experiencing very painful menstrual cramps and my doctor recommended I try Meftal Spas tablets. They've been really helpful in relieving my pain for about 5 to 6 hours, and I've been taking them whenever the pain gets too intense. But now I'm noticing that my periods are getting delayed and the cramps seem to be even more painful. Could these things be side effects of the tablets?

Meftal Spas is a commonly used medication for menstrual pain, but frequent use can sometimes affect the regularity of your periods or increase pain in some cases. It's important to use it cautiously and consult your doctor if you notice changes in your cycle or increased discomfort, as they may need to adjust your treatment plan.

I'm wondering if it's necessary to have a stitch again during my second pregnancy. I had one during my first pregnancy but I don't think I have cervical incompetence. The first time, I didn't really have a choice, but now I'm considering not having it. Could there be any risks to my baby if I skip it this time? I'm also concerned if the previous stitch might have caused any damage to my cervix.

The need for a cerclage in your second pregnancy depends on whether you have risk factors like cervical insufficiency or a history of preterm birth. If you dont have those issues, a cerclage may not be necessary. Speak with your doctor to assess the need for monitoring

I'm 29 weeks pregnant and recently moved to stay with my mom. My new doctor here advised me not to take Ecosprin, but my previous doctor had prescribed me Ecosprin 150 mg after my double marker test showed something about FGR before 37 weeks with a 1 in 643 ratio. Now, I'm confused about whether I should continue taking Ecosprin or not, and if I do take it, when should I stop? I'm really unsure about what to do and would appreciate your guidance.

It's understandable to feel confused. Given your doctor's advice to stop Ecosprin, its important to follow the current recommendation. The initial prescription of Ecosprin might have been due to specific risk factors, but if your new doctor feels it's not necessary, trust their expertise. You can clarify the exact timing for stopping the medication during your next appointment.
