I've been dealing with a lingering cough thats been sticking around for a while. Lately, I've noticed I'm coughing up blood, which has me pretty worried. I did a sputum test for AFB and it came back negative, and I was prescribed some antibiotics. While the coughing up blood has decreased, it hasn't disappeared completely. What are some steps I can take to completely get rid of this blood in my sputum and the cough?

I've been feeling this odd pain when I take a deep breath, almost like a sharp sensation in my chest. Sometimes, it even hurts a little when I'm not breathing deeply, which is kind of worrying. I'm trying to figure out what could be going on here. Could this be something serious, or is it something I shouldn't worry too much about? Any advice on what I should do next?

I'm really worried about the free fluid in both pleural cavities on the imaging scan we got back. They measured around 500ml on the right and 300ml on the left. How serious is this situation, and what should we be doing about it? Can you please let me know soon? I'm really anxious about it.

This condition is known as pleural effusion. To help reduce the fluid buildup and relieve symptoms, you can take diuretics like Furosemide. Additionally, a medication called Spironolactone can also be prescribed to help with fluid retention. It is important to follow up with your healthcare provider for further evaluation and management.
