Protein electrophoresis is a test used for measuring specific proteins in the blood. The protein electrophoresis test is often used to detect M proteins. The test may be advised if the person experiences symptoms like unexplained weight loss, bone pain or frequent fractures, fatigue, weakness, constipation, excessive thirst, nausea.
