This test is used to detect the dengue virus or antibodies produced in response to dengue infection. Dengue fever is a viral disease that is transmitted by mosquitoes to humans. The primary symptoms of dengue fever include sudden high fever and flu-like symptoms that develop about 4 to 7 days after being bitten by a dengue mosquito.
