A urine dipstick test is the quickest way to test urine. It involves dipping a specially treated paper strip into a sample of your urine
The sample will get diluted
Your urine specific gravity is generally considered normal in the ranges of 1.005 to 1.030. Make sure you are drinking enough water daily.
Urine samples can detect a number of conditions such as pregnancy, chronic kidney disease, infections and screen for drug use too.
Low specific gravity means that urine concentration is diluted. This happens when a person drinks too mush water or is suffering from conditions such as diabetes insipidus.
