How does diabetes affect urine color?

Yellow urine is usually not a sign of diabetes. Intead, light coloured urine can be a sign of diabetes insipidus.
They reflect whether one is dehydrated or having some urine infection.
It means either you are drinking a lot of water or you are having a viral infection. You are recommended to consult with a doctor if you continue to pass white urine.
Naturally urine is slightly pale yellow in colour. This coloring is primarily caused by the pigment urochrome, also known as urobilin. Hence, there is nothing to worry.
Clear urine can occur when your body has excess calcium or phosphate. It can also occur if you are having UTI infections. Hence, you are recommended to get a urine test done if you are passing white urine for more than one week.
