Liver function tests are blood tests used to help diagnose and monitor liver disease or damage.
LFT is the basic blood test to dectect jaundice. High bilirubin leads to jaundice, a yellow cast to your skin and the whites of your eyes. Jaundice is often the first symptom that would prompt a healthcare provider to check your bilirubin levels.
This test is used to detect diseases of the liver or bile ducts.
If your test results show too little or no urobilinogen in your urine, it may be a sign of: A blockage in the ducts that carry bile from your liver or gallbladder to your intestines.
