Human urine is composed primarily of water (95%). The rest is urea (2%), creatinine (0.1%), uric acid (0.03%), chloride, sodium, potassium, sulphate, ammonium, phosphate and other ions and molecules in lesser amounts
The pH can control the availability of nutrients, biological functions, microbial activity, and the behavior of chemicals.
pH levels can fluctuate due to certain medications, diet, infections or kidney problems. Consult a neprologist if you are having higher or lower pH constantly.
Blood is normally slightly basic, with a normal pH range of about 7.35 to 7.45. Usually the body maintains the pH of blood close to 7.40.
A high urine pH may be due to kidneys that do not properly remove acids. If you have constant high pH in urine then you are recommended to consult with a doctor who will thoroughly check your how well your kidneys are functioning.
