Is 154 in sugar level when fasting bad for a type 2 diabetic?
In general anything above 140mg/dl needs medicinal intervention and if your blood sugar level is 154 despite medicines then it is bad.

Yes it is slightly on the higher side and you will have to reduce it.
Anything above 200mg/dl is dangerous during pregnancy and has to be followed by glucose intolerance test.Anything above 240mg/dl for normal adults is dangerous.
193 is slightly high post meals.One should take medicines and consult with a doctor if sugar does not decrease.
A fasting blood sugar level less than 100 mg/dL (5.6 mmol/L) is normal. A fasting blood sugar level from 100 to 125 mg/dL (5.6 to 6.9 mmol/L) is considered prediabetes
240mg/dl is the highest which can be lowered by giving medicines. Any value higher than this is absolutely unsafe and has to be reported to a doctor immediately.
