View allI'm having some issues with hilar prominence on the right side of my chest, and it's caused me to be considered unfit for a job in Oman. I'm pretty worried about it and wondering if there's any way I can address or reduce this issue. What steps should I take, and are there any treatments or lifestyle changes that might help resolve it?
Hilar prominence on a chest X-ray could indicate an abnormality in the lymph nodes or other structures in the chest. The hilar region is where the lungs' arteries, veins, nerves, and bronchi enter and exit. Both hilar should be similar in size and density on a chest X-ray. If one hilum is larger and denser than the other, it could indicate an abnormality.so consult pulmonologist or thoracic surgeon

I'm trying to cut down on smoking and I've heard that vaping and e-cigarettes might be a better option since they don't have tar. I'm curious if they really are a bit less harmful and if it's possible to gradually reduce the number of puffs too. I've noticed there's not much information out there. What do you think about this?
they cause cancer acc to study

I've been feeling short of breath lately, even though my pulmonary function tests came back normal. I don't have any chest pain or a cough. Should I be concerned about this, or is it just something that happens sometimes? What else could be causing this?
