  5. So the pic I have attached includes my pinky finger (left) and index finger (right). As you can see, I have dents or not so deep holes on both of them. So, I was just cutting my nails and noticed them. I search about the reason. A term appeared as nail pitting which is caused by psoriasis and other skin disease. Now this has scared me since then. I don't have skin disease , any skin problem or joint pain. So, is it actually nail pitting or something else? I have very tiny dots on other 2 nails but only one on each nail like on these though I cannot feel them because they are very very small and doesn't look as deep as these two.  So what's it? When I search pictures of nail pitting..I see so many deep holes in nails with no shine in those pictures plus they look horrible.. while my nails seem ok and enough shiny. Please clarify this doubt of mine.

Nail pitting is associated with lot of conditions like u mentioned psoriasis etc also most common cause is alopecia.
