Please advise medicines for my father. He has right side pleural effusion for 2 months. CT scan shows no sign of malignancy, no signs of TB, most likely cause infection. He is 68 years old with heart EF 25%. Blood, pleural taping reports are normal. Is biopsy necessary  safe?

Tab augmentin duo 625mg ,orally ,thrice daily for 5 days advised to the patient.Also syrup salbutamol 10ml thrice daily for 7 days is advised to the patient.Steam inhalation is also advised twice .Biopsy is not necessary.

Ive been feeling pain and a choking sensation in the middle of my chest, and its making it hard to eat or drink anything. Sometimes it feels like theres air trapped in my chest in that area. What could be causing this?

It sounds like you may have severe acid reflux or possibly an esophageal spasm. Avoid eating or drinking for now, and sit upright. Try sipping on warm water to ease discomfort, and seek immediate medical attention to rule out any cardiac or severe gastrointestinal issues.
