My mom's 56 and she's been dealing with this nighttime acidity for about a week. We did an ultrasound and it mentioned mild pleural effusion. What exactly is pleural effusion? Can this be treated with medicine? She's feeling pretty worried and scared. Can you help us understand what's going on?

View allI've been dealing with wheezing for 25 years, initially using an Asthalin inhaler and now Foracart 400 rotacaps. I don't take any oral medicines for it. The past couple of weeks, I've started feeling chest tightness, breathlessness, and fatigue. I've also had mild hypertension and Type 2 Diabetes for 15 years. For my BP, I take Teleact AM 40 at night, and for diabetes, I take Amaryl 1 mg twice a day. My diabetes seems to be under control, but I'm worried about what might be causing these new symptoms. Could it be related to my wheezing or COPD, or maybe my high BP, CAD, or diabetes? What do you think?

I've been having some trouble with my breathing over the past few months and I tried using a spirometer at home. I could only manage to lift two out of the three balls completely. Is this normal, or should I be looking into getting more tests or treatment for this discomfort?
