My mom's 56 and she's been dealing with this nighttime acidity for about a week. We did an ultrasound and it mentioned mild pleural effusion. What exactly is pleural effusion? Can this be treated with medicine? She's feeling pretty worried and scared. Can you help us understand what's going on?

View allI'm dealing with some breathing issues, like shortness of breath, and it's been more than 10 years. I've gone to various doctors, and they said it's allergies. So, I went to see a pulmonologist. They suggested I do FENO and PFT tests. My FENO result came back as 19 ppb, and PFT was normal. They gave me a Foracart 200 inhaler and some meds for allergies, but it's been five days and I haven't noticed a difference. Should I be worried, or could this take more time? What should I do next?
take asthalin inhaler

I'm really worried because I noticed something odd with the SpO2 levels after running. Normally, it's between 93 and 99, but right after running, it dropped to 80 before quickly going back to 88, and then 90. This person isnt very active normally. Should I be concerned about this sudden change?
yes it is , consult your nearby pulmonologist

My mom's had these symptoms like fever, cough, cold, and just feeling off for about a week now. The first doctor's tests were kind of inconclusive about whether it was TB or not. So, they sent her to another hospital where they did a bunch of more thorough tests like CT scans and skin tests and said she doesn't have TB. She's feeling better overall, but I'm still worried because she's still coughing. She did have a cough before that usually gets worse in winter and she's quite sensitive to the cold. My family thinks her coughing now is normal, but I'm not so sure. What do you think? Would love your guidance on this!
