My 5-month-old son had eye conjunctivitis and was prescribed Toba eye drops, which we used for 5 days. But the infection kept coming back, so we ended up using it for 15 days. Later, the doctor switched to Moxiflox. Im just worriedcould overusing these eye drops lead to increased eye pressure? Is that something I need to be concerned about?
Prolonged use of antibiotic eye drops like Toba (tobramycin) and Moxiflox (moxifloxacin) may increase the risk of antibiotic resistance, but the risk of increased eye pressure is relatively low; however, it's essential to follow your doctor's instructions and attend regular follow-up appointments to monitor your son's condition and adjust treatment as needed.
