I'm having some trouble with my breathing and I already tried the pantosec d gas tablet that my doctor recommended. I also saw a pulmonologist, had a chest X-ray and an ECG, and both came out normal. There didn't seem to be any problems, so no meds were given. Do you think I might still need any medication or other tests?

Ive been dealing with shortness of breath for about 5 years and all my tests like PFT, ECG, CT thorax, chest X-rays, 2D echo, and others came back normal. Ive even had them repeated in 2017 and 2019. Ive seen a lot of pulmonologists and cardiologists but nobodys been able to figure it out. It used to only bother me at night but now it happens during the day too. Even sleep meds arent helping now. Some doctors thought it was tension or weakness, but I'm quite active, exercising and doing yoga and pranayama daily. Night times are really tough and sometimes I can't sleep at all, even with meditation or taking stalopam plus. I'm only 21, so its really worrying. What do you think could be going on?

continue doing yoga , if still not resolved consult a pulmonologist

I've been having this sharp, needle-like pain in my upper right chest near my collarbone, especially when I breathe or move my head sideways, and it's been going on for about three weeks now. Before this, there was a constant pain in my shoulder that just kind of disappeared on its own. I'm really wondering what this could be? Should I be worried about this?

Could be due to inflammation of the muscles or tendons in that area. This type of pain can sometimes radiate from the shoulder to the chest. To help relieve the pain and inflammation, you can try taking over-the-counter anti-inflammatory medications such as ibuprofen (e.g., Advil) at a dose of 400mg to 800mg every 6-8 hours with food. Additionally, applying a topical pain relief gel containing diclofenac (e.g., Voltaren) to the painful area can also help. It is important to rest the affected area, avoid activities that worsen the pain, and apply ice packs for 15-20 minutes several times a day. If the pain persists or worsens, it is recommended to follow up with a healthcare provider for further evaluation and management.
