I'm a bit worried because I had oral sex with my boyfriend and now I'm experiencing a brown discharge from my vagina. It's happening more in the mornings, and I've been having frequent urination throughout the day. This all started after we were together, which was 2 days before my period was supposed to start, but it still hasn't come. I did a pregnancy test today and it came back negative. The date we were intimate was February 26th. What could be causing this?

Since your pregnancy tests are negative, it is less likely to be related to pregnancy. I recommend you to consult a doctor for a proper diagnosis and treatment plan. You may need a pelvic examination and some tests to determine the cause of your symptoms. In the meantime, you can try using over-the-counter antifungal medication like Clotrimazole (such as Canesten) for possible yeast infection.

View allI have a 12 cm fibroid in my uterus are there any treatment options besides surgery or medications that could help shrink it? I'm really hoping to avoid an operation if possible
Yes, there are treatment options besides surgery or medications that can potentially help shrink a 12 cm fibroid, though they may not be suitable for all cases. Uterine fibroid embolization (UFE) is a minimally invasive procedure that can block the blood supply to the fibroid, causing it to shrink. Another option is MRI-guided focused ultrasound (FUS), which uses high-energy sound waves to destroy the fibroid.

I'm two weeks postpartum after my C-section, and I've noticed that wearing the tummy belt causes vaginal bleeding. Should I keep using it, or is this something I should be worried about?
Discontinue wearing the tummy belt immediately, as it may be causing increased pressure on your cervix or uterus, leading to vaginal bleeding; instead, focus on gentle postpartum exercises, like pelvic tilts and deep breathin

Why does a menstrual period happen only once per month?
The menstrual cycle is the monthly series of changes a woman's body goes through in preparation for the possibility of pregnancy. Each month, one of the ovaries releases an egg - a process called ovulation. At the same time, hormonal changes prepare the uterus for pregnancy. If ovulation takes place and the egg isn't fertilized, the lining of the uterus sheds through the vagina. This is a menstrual period.
