I'm 6 months pregnant and my gynecologist mentioned getting a cervical cerclage because I've had previous abortions. I've been having stomach and groin pain. I also had an ASD device closure in October 2020 and am currently taking Ecosprin 75. Do you think it's safe for me to proceed with the cervical cerclage? Could there be any complications I should be aware of?

This procedure can help prevent premature birth and reduce the risk of complications during pregnancy. To help with the pain in your stomach and groin, you can take Paracetamol 500mg as needed for pain relief. Since you are already taking Ecosprin 75, continue taking it as prescribed by your doctor to prevent blood clots and improve blood flow to the placenta. Make sure to follow your gynecologist's advice and attend all recommended prenatal check-ups for a safe and healthy pregnancy.

View allI'm a 21-year-old female and had both unprotected and protected sex with my boyfriend on the last day of my ovulation window. I took an emergency contraceptive pill the next morning. It's been two weeks now and I haven't experienced any withdrawal bleeding, plus I've missed my period. There was no semen contact. Is there still a possibility of being pregnant, or could it just be that the pill is delaying my period?
It is possible that the delay in your period is due to the emergency contraceptive pill you took. However, to rule out pregnancy, you can take a pregnancy test. If you are concerned about a possible pregnancy, you can consider taking a pregnancy test for confirmation.

I've been experiencing very painful menstrual cramps and my doctor recommended I try Meftal Spas tablets. They've been really helpful in relieving my pain for about 5 to 6 hours, and I've been taking them whenever the pain gets too intense. But now I'm noticing that my periods are getting delayed and the cramps seem to be even more painful. Could these things be side effects of the tablets?
Meftal Spas is a commonly used medication for menstrual pain, but frequent use can sometimes affect the regularity of your periods or increase pain in some cases. It's important to use it cautiously and consult your doctor if you notice changes in your cycle or increased discomfort, as they may need to adjust your treatment plan.

I've been wondering if it's really possible to regain that virgin-like feeling. Is there anything that can help with the tightness of the vagina or the hymen? Can you suggest any treatments or medicines for this?
It's important to understand that the concept of "feeling virgin again" is not medically possible, as the vagina does not "seal" after intercourse. However, if you're concerned about vaginal tightness or changes, it can be influenced by factors like muscle tone, hormonal changes, or childbirth. I recommend consulting with a gynecologist who can provide personalized advice and possible treatments, such as pelvic floor exercises or other medical options.
