I'm 25 and dealing with Pott's spine. I've been on AKT treatment for the past 7 months and recent MRIs show the pus is going down. I did an LFT test and noticed that my alkaline phosphatase is a bit high at 126, while the normal range is 46 to 116. Everything else looks okay. Should I be worried about this? What other medications can I take to help with the side effects of AKT? A friend of mine mentioned trying LIVRITE for 15 days and Bendon while continuing AKT. What do you think I should do?

Understanding Elevated Alkaline Phosphatase (ALP)
- ALP is an enzyme linked to liver and bone health. Mild elevation can occur due to AKT treatment or bone healing.
-
Monitoring and Safety During AKT Treatment
- Regular liver function tests are crucial. Watch for symptoms like jaundice, fatigue, or abdominal pain.
-
Managing Side Effects of AKT
- Consider Pyridoxine (Vitamin B6) to prevent neuropathy. Hepatoprotective supplements like Silymarin may help but consult your doctor first.
-
Recommendations and Next Steps
- Discuss any new supplements with your physician. Continue AKT regimen and attend regular follow-ups.
-
Relevant Medical Specialties and Tests
- Consult Infectious Disease specialists or Hepatologists if liver enzymes rise or symptoms develop.

View allI just found out I have a grade 2 ligament tear in my right knee can this heal on its own with rest and rehab or will I need ACL surgery to fix it properly
A grade 2 ligament tear in your knee, specifically the ACL, can often heal with conservative treatment like rest, ice, and physical therapy, but surgery may be needed in some cases. The decision to operate depends on factors like the ligament involved, your activity level, and your overall health.

I have a congenital curve in my penis that bends to the left like a banana, around 30-35 degrees. Do I need surgery for this? I'm still a virgin and worried about how this might affect me. What are my options?
Most congenital penile curvatures are mild and don't require treatment. But in more severe cases, your penis is significantly bent or twisted along the shaft. This can make you feel self-conscious, cause pain or affect sexual function.

When should I worry about upper back pain?
If pain develops suddenly and is severe, such as from an injury ( fall) and if pain and symptoms (eg, weakness) progressively worsen you should seek medical attention.
