I recently developed secondary phimosis and treated it with a topical cream as suggested by my dermatologist. However, Ive noticed that the top portion of the glans has some discoloration, kind of like vitiligo. Theres no pain or irritation. The doctor thinks it could be LSA or BXO, and mentioned it might not be fully treatable. I have a couple of questions: 1. How can this discoloration be treated, or if its left untreated, what complications could arise? 2. I can keep the foreskin retracted without feeling any tightness. Is it safe to keep it retracted all the time, like an autocircumcision?
Discoloration Treatment and Potential Complications1. Treatment options: For the discoloration, similar to vitiligo, treatment options are limited. Your dermatologist may recommend:- Topical corticosteroids to reduce inflammation.- Topical immunomodulators to modulate the immune response.- Phototherapy, such as narrowband UVB, to stimulate repigmentation.2. Potential complications: If left untreated, the discoloration may:- Persist or worsen over time.
