I had TB about 30 years ago and completed the 9-month treatment. Since then, Ive been healthy with no issues. However, during a medical test in Dubai in 2016, I was deported because of an old scar on my chest, even though my blood test, skin test, and sputum were all negative. I want to know if theres any treatment or medicine that can help clear the scar on my x-ray, so I can pass the medical test next time.
It's great to hear that you're healthy and have no current issues. Unfortunately, there is no medicine to remove or "clean" an old TB scar on an X-ray. However, the scar doesn't necessarily affect your health. You may want to consult a pulmonologist or a specialist to explore options for presenting your case in a way that addresses the medical concerns.
