Hi, Im 31 years old and married. A few weeks ago, I started experiencing itching around my penis, scrotum, and thighs. The skin became darker, dry, and I developed white patches after I couldnt stop scratching. To relieve the itching, I started using Candid-B regularly for a few days, and it helped a bit, so I used it on alternate days for some time. Last week, I noticed a bump on the foreskin of my penis, which went away after I applied Candid-B for a day. Ive been using the cream around my genitals and thighs about 3 times a week. Now, my foreskin is very dry and slightly inflamed, and it looks thin. This started a day after I had sex with my wife. I stopped using Candid-B and started applying coconut oil twice a day, as well as Vico turmeric, but it hasn't improved. Im also diabetic. Can you help me with what to do next?
It sounds like you may be experiencing a fungal infection in the genital area, which is common in individuals with diabetes. I recommend you stop using candid-b cream as it may be contributing to the thinning of the skin. Instead, you can try an antifungal cream like Clotrimazole (Canesten) twice a day for 2 weeks. Additionally, keep the area clean and dry, wear loose-fitting underwear made of cotton, and avoid any irritants like scented soaps or lotions. Since you are diabetic, it's important to keep your blood sugar levels under control as high blood sugar can contribute to fungal infections. Make sure to monitor your blood sugar regularly and follow your diabetic management plan.
