My SGOT is 230 and SGPT is 155. Why?
High values of SGOT and SGPT means the liver is not functioning well.

Hepatorenal Syndrome (HRS) is a life-threatening condition that affects kidney function in people with advanced liver disease.
You might also have a blood test to look at the level of a chemical called alpha fetoprotein (AFP). This might be higher than normal in some types of liver cancer.
Help diagnose diseases such as cancer, diabetes, coronary heart disease, and HIV/AIDS.
The SGPT normal range is about 7 to 56 units per liter of blood serum. Anything above 56 indicates that the liver might be slightly damaged thats why it is producing enzymes.
It is diagnosed by tests and CT scans.
