View allMy cousin recently had a CBC blood test, and the report shows Normocytic Normochromic RBC with mild erythrocytosis. Should this be a cause for concern? What can be done to manage or treat this condition? He has experienced some weight loss. He previously underwent surgery for thyroid cancer, and his latest scan is clear. He also received RAI therapy with a 100 mCi dose, and he has been doing fine since then. Is this blood report something to worry about?

I have been suffering from cold and cough, and for the past two days, I noticed blood in my cough. I went to the hospital, and the doctor advised a blood test, which came back negative except for a mild infection. The doctor prescribed Azithromycin 500 and flu medicine.
