Is it reasonable to be sedated during a bone marrow biopsy?
Answered by 1 Apollo Doctors
Yes, one gets a local anesthesia before the bone marrow test to numb that area during aspriation/biopsy. Without the local anesthesia it will be very difficult to perform this test and it is also not advisable to do it without local anesthesia.
