A triple marker test is a blood test conducted on pregnant women between with the gestational age of 15 to 20 weeks to identify any genetic or chromosomal disorder in the unborn baby.
Some pregnancy tests are more advanced and after additional features, such as the ability to detect pregnancy earlier or provide a digital readout, which can also contribute to the cost.
Most medications will not affect the results of a pregnancy test. The only medication which could alter the result is medicine used to boost fertility, as these drugs contain the HCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotrophin).
This usually indicates that the pregnancy will not result in the birth of a child.
