LDH exists in 5 isoenzymes. Each isoenzyme has a slightly different structure and is found in different concentrations in different tissues. For example, LDH-1 is found mostly in red blood cells and heart muscle. LDH-3 is concentrated in the lungs, although it is also found in other tissues.
People tend to develop fatty liver if they have certain other conditions, such as obesity, diabetes or high triglycerides. In addition, alcohol abuse, rapid weight loss and malnutrition may also lead to fatty liver. However, some people develop fatty liver even if they have none of these conditions.
A pre-enzyme has a signal sequence attached to the N-terminus that directs it to be secreted. A pro-enzyme the initial form of an enzyme that is not active, and once the enzyme is activated, it becomes an active enzyme.
One may try to take vitamin C as much as they can and avoid alcohol as it increases LDH levels. If your levels are alarmingly high then you must consult a doctor, who will prescribe you medicines to lower LDH levels.
