So I've had mild splenomegaly for the last four years and also deal with IBS. I'm really curious if my enlarged spleen might be the reason behind all these digestive problems. Could they be connected?

The ultrasound report indicates "gas distended bowel loops" in your lower abdomen, which means that there is an accumulation of gas in the intestines, causing them to expand.
What does it mean?
This condition is often related to:
- Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS): A common disorder affecting the large intestine, causing abdominal pain, bloating, and changes in bowel movements.
- Functional abdominal pain: Recurring abdominal pain without any obvious cause.
- Gas and bloating: Swallowing air, eating certain foods, or having food intolerance can lead to gas accumulation.
Why does it occur?
- Food intolerance: Lactose, gluten, or high-FODMAP foods can cause gas and bloating.
- Eating habits: Eating too quickly, not chewing food properly, or drinking carbonated beverages can lead to gas accumulation.
- Stress and anxiety: Stress can exacerbate IBS symptoms.
How to cure it?
- Dietary changes: Avoid trigger foods, eat smaller meals, and choose low-FODMAP foods.
- Probiotics: Consider taking probiotics to promote gut health.
- Stress management: Practice stress-reducing techniques like meditation, yoga, or deep breathing exercises.
- Medications: Your doctor has prescribed Pansec (Pantoprazole) for acid reflux and Meftal Spas (Mefenamic acid) for pain relief.

I'm really worried because about 10 days ago, I drank some ORS powder mixed in water using a copper water bottle, and ever since then, I've been having a lot of stomach issues. It started with loose motion the same day, and now I'm dealing with an upset stomach, gas, cramps, and even vomiting almost every other day. How long do you think it will take before I start feeling better?
You need some anti diarrhoeal medicines

I've just finished a 14-day treatment for H. pylori, and while most of my symptoms are gone, I'm still having stomach issues. Eating out or having chicken seems to upset my stomach, and I end up with loose motions. I'm mostly eating food from a mess, so I'm wondering what kind of diet I should stick to and what types of food I should avoid to prevent this from happening. Can you help me figure out a plan?
After completing an H. pylori treatment, it is important to follow a specific diet to prevent stomach upset and loose motions. You should follow a bland diet that includes easily digestible foods. Here are some dietary recommendations: - Eat small, frequent meals throughout the day - Consume foods that are low in fat and fiber - Include foods like bananas, rice, applesauce, and toast (BRAT diet) - Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated - Avoid spicy, greasy, and fried foods - Limit or avoid dairy products, caffeine, and alcohol - Avoid eating outside or in places where food hygiene may be compromised
