My wife is currently 8 weeks pregnant, and during her last ultrasound, they couldn't detect any cardiac activity. The final report mentioned something about a likely missed abortion. Our gynecologist wants us to continue with the medication since there haven't been any miscarriage symptoms yet. We're pretty nervous about this and are anxiously waiting for the next ultrasound in 10 days. Could you shed some light on what to possibly expect? Is there still a chance for positive news? We're just trying to understand all of this.

Hi, It is usually a very stressful time if a heart beat is not discovered. Sometimes it can come a bit later and sometimes it can lead due to a miscarriage. In a missed abortion if usually dont get any symptoms.

View allI'm 32 weeks pregnant and I've been having this annoying itching on my hands and legs, but only at night. It's really bothering me. I got my liver function test done and it seems like my SGPT and SGOT levels, along with AP, are higher than normal. Everything else looks okay though. I've attached the report. Is there a chance I've got cholestasis or is there any risk I should be worried about with these results?
Based on your symptoms of itching in the hands and legs at night, along with high levels of SGPT, SGOT, and AP in your liver function tests, there is a possibility of cholestasis. Cholestasis is a condition where the normal flow of bile from the liver is impaired, leading to a buildup of bile acids in the body which can cause itching. To manage cholestasis during pregnancy, you can take Ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA) at a dosage of 300mg to 600mg per day. UDCA helps to improve liver function and reduce itching in cholestasis. Additionally, you may also be prescribed antihistamines like Chlorpheniramine to help with the itching. It is important to follow up with your obstetrician for further evaluation and management of your condition. Regular monitoring of your liver function tests and close observation of your baby's well-being may be necessary to ensure a safe pregnancy outcome.

I'm 11 weeks pregnant and have a 99 mm chocolate cyst do I really need surgery for it and if so is it safe for the baby
A 99mm (almost 4 inches) chocolate cyst during pregnancy, while large, doesn't automatically require surgery. Your doctor will assess the cyst's growth, your symptoms, and other factors to determine the best course of action. Generally, cysts larger than 4cm are often recommended for removal, but other factors like your symptoms and pregnancy stage play a role.

I'm really worried and need some advice. On April 5th, my boyfriend fingered me, and I'm scared because I think he might have had precum on his fingers, which I've heard can lead to pregnancy. Thankfully, I got my regular period on April 10th, but I'm still anxious. Is there any chance I could still be pregnant even after getting my period that month?
no
