My cousin was recently told she might have tuberculosis, and we're all really worried. I've been reading up and it's just so confusing with all the tests out there to confirm it, like skin tests and blood tests. Could you help me understand what's the most reliable test for confirming TB? I want to make sure we're advocating for the right approach with her doctor.

I'm a bit concerned about my health. I was diagnosed with lymph node TB in my neck and took Forecox and Moxif 400mg for 6 months. The swelling in my nodes went away after two months, which was great, but now I'm noticing some issues. I feel a bit tired and sometimes have acidic sensations, itching, and a tingling feeling. Should I be getting any follow-up tests even though my doctor says there aren't any possible? And how much longer should I keep taking the medicine? I'm really looking for some guidance on this.

Continue same treatment as advised by the physician.

I'm a bit worried about my health right now. Back in August 2020, I had an HRCT chest scan to check for COVID, and although it wasn't COVID, they found bilateral minimal pleural effusion and mentioned something about an infective cause. Now I'm planning to get a single-view chest X-ray following COVID to see if anything has changed. I'm unsure if this kind of X-ray is enough to show bilateral pleural effusion if it's still there. Do you think a different type of X-ray is necessary, or will this single view be sufficient?

chest xray will show pleural effusion.

I recently had a chest x-ray because I felt like my lung capacity isn't what it used to be. The results mentioned something about prominent bronchovascular markings, but everything else seems normal. Should I be worried about this at all?

Patient is advised tab azithromycin 500 mg orallyonce daily for 5 days, tab levocetrizine 10 mg bedtime orally for 5 days.
