Ive noticed rough skin inside my mouth, on both my inner cheeks and lips. I stay well-hydrated and maintain good oral hygiene, but it doesnt seem to go away. What could be causing this, and how can I treat it?
Peeling of oral mucosa can be caused due to irritants. These may include overly acidic or spicy foods, harsh toothpastes or smoking/drinking. You can modify your diet to include softer ingredients and try changing your toothpaste. If the problem still persists, you should consult a physician.
