  5. Ive noticed a bump on my mons pubis thats been there for about 6 months now. Sometimes it swells up and becomes painful, especially during my periods, but other times it doesnt hurt and feels like a small ball under the skin. Ive tried hot compressions as suggested by a gynecologist, which helped reduce the swelling, but it hasnt gone away. Do you think this could be something serious, and is there any other treatment I should try?

Your complain should be addressed to a Dermatologist. You may have a Bartholin's cyst. You may need to take antibiotics. Additionally, you can use a sitz bath with warm water a few times a day to help with the discomfort. If the cyst persists, you may need a procedure called marsupialization to drain it.
