Ive been having a lot of mucous and chest congestion lately. The mucous is white and jelly-like, sometimes even fibrous, and it comes from my lungs. My chest feels tight around the lower left rib and sometimes in the center, but the tightness eases after coughing up the mucous. I also have bad breath in the morning when I wake up and upper back pain below my shoulders. I dont have any fever or breathing problems, but Ive been struggling with acidity, heartburn, and flatulence. What could be going on?
Your symptoms suggest chronic bronchitis or a lingering respiratory infection, with the white jelly-like or fibrous mucus indicating a possible fungal or bacterial overgrowth; meanwhile, the acidity, heartburn, and flatulence may be related to gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), so consider consulting md medicine
