I've been feeling a bit of breath shortness after breakfast and while climbing stairs, and my breathing isn't as smooth as it used to be. I had a history of smoking for 9 years, then switched to vaping e-cigarettes for 2 years. I've quit all nicotine and smoking products for the past two weeks. Could you tell me what tests I should consider to understand the impact of my past smoking and vaping on my health?

View allI recently had an x-ray done and it showed a scar on my lungs. The report mentioned it's an old TB scar that's not currently active. Is there any treatment or medicine available to help get rid of this scar and have a clear lung x-ray? Also, I'm trying to understand the PPD test better. If there's swelling in my arm with a red area around the injection site but no noticeable bump, would that be considered a positive result?
U cannot remove old TB scar from chest xray.

My mom was on oxygen support for about a week, ranging from 284 to 55. Her HRCT score was 1825, which later dropped to 1525. When she was discharged, her O2 level was at 93, but it hasn't improved since. It even drops when she has other health issues like diarrhea. Any suggestions on a good treatment plan to help get her oxygen level back to normal?
