Ive been dealing with a persistent ringworm infection in the groin area for the past 3 months. It was really itchy at first, but Ive been using Terbinaforce cream and taking Terbinafine tablets. The itching has reduced, and its about 80% better, but now Im noticing that the old ringworm is getting bigger, and Im developing new ones in the same area. The condition isnt too bad, but my skin has become lighter pink than usual. Could this be tinea versicolor? And how much longer will it take to get completely better?
Consult a dermatologist to reassess the persistent ringworm infection and skin discoloration, as it may not be tinea versicolor, and adjust treatment with oral antifungals or topical creams to achieve complete recovery, which may take 2-6 weeks.
