I've been checking my heart rate with my phone, and it usually reads between 90-100. I don't smoke, drink, or experience any stress, but sometimes my heart feels a bit heavy, even when I'm just resting. Is this normal? I'm 5.9 tall and weigh 75 kg.

I've been worried about getting the COVID vaccine because of some heart issues. My father had an angiogram back in 2012, and though he's not on any medication now, I've occasionally felt mild heart pain that seems to go away after a bit. I'm really unsure about whether it's safe for me to get the vaccine given these concerns. Can you offer any advice on this? Is there a risk involved?

It is important to consult with a cardiologist before taking any decision regarding the Covid vaccination. However, based on the information provided, it is generally safe for individuals with a history of angiogram to receive the Covid vaccine. The benefits of vaccination in preventing severe illness and complications from Covid-19 outweigh the potential risks. It is recommended to take the vaccine to protect yourself from the virus. You can consider taking the vaccine like Covishield or Covaxin with the standard dosage schedule.

I'm really worried about my mom. She's been having this pain on the left side of her chest, and it spreads to her shoulder blade and down her arm. It's been really tough for her because she also feels uncomfortable when she's swallowing, and the pain gets worse when she takes a deep breath. She's not dealing with a cold, cough, or fever, but even with the meds she's taking, nothing seems to be helping. Could you please help me understand what might be going on and how we can treat it?

I'm looking at my husband's ECG report, and it's got me a bit worried. It shows a heart rate of 77 bpm, with P at 97 ms, PR at 132 ms, QRS at 90 ms, and QTQTc at 357406 ms. Then it also says something about sinus rhythm, high voltage, and left ventricle. Does this all sound normal to you, or should we be rushing to the doctor? I'm feeling pretty anxious about it.

The report indicates high voltage in the left ventricle. Based on the information provided, the ECG findings suggest a normal sinus rhythm with high voltage in the left ventricle. There is no need for immediate doctor consultation based on this report. If your husband has any symptoms or concerns, it is advisable to follow up with his healthcare provider for further evaluation and management."
