I'm trying to figure out how to gradually stop using Melacare cream because I'm experiencing some side effects like dry skin and facial hair growth. I'm also looking for a recommendation on a different fairness cream that won't cause these issues. Can you help me out with this?

To stop using Melacare cream without losing fairness:

Tapering Off Melacare Cream

  1. Gradual reduction: Reduce the frequency of application over 2-4 weeks (e.g., from daily to every other day, then to twice a week).
  2. Dilute the cream: Mix Melacare cream with a moisturizer (1:1 ratio) to reduce its potency.
  3. Replace with a moisturizer: Once you've tapered off Melacare, switch to a gentle, non-comedogenic moisturizer.

Alternative Fairness Creams

  1. Kojic acid-based creams: Kojivit, Kojic acid cream, or La Roche-Posay Mela-D Pigment Control.
  2. Niacinamide-based creams: Olay Regenerist, Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair, or Paula's Choice 10% Niacinamide Booster.
  3. Vitamin C-based creams: Olay Vitamin C, Neutrogena Vitamin C, or Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare C+ Collagen Brighten and Firm Serum.

Addressing Side Effects

  1. Dry skin: Use a gentle, hydrating moisturizer.
  2. Facial hair growth: Consider waxing, threading, or consulting a dermatologist for hair reduction treatments.

Consult a dermatologist before starting any new skincare products to ensure they suit your skin type and concerns.

how to use tea tree oil for acne

1. Combine 1 to 2 drops of tea tree oil with 12 drops of a carrier oil. However, be careful using any additional oils on your face. Any type of oil product has the potential to worsen acne. 2. Before applying diluted tea tree oil to your face, do a small patch test on the inside of your elbow. Signs of skin sensitivity or an allergic reaction include itchiness, redness, swelling, and burning. 3. Before applying the oil, wash your face with a gentle cleanser for acne-prone skin, and pat it dry. 4. Gently apply diluted tea tree oil by dabbing it on your blemishes with a cotton round or pad. 5. Allow to dry. Follow up with your usual moisturizer. 6. Repeat morning and night.

I've been using Betnovate N for quite a while now, and I've noticed my face has gotten a lot darker. I'm really worried and I've started using sunscreen, but I'm not sure if that's enough. Do you have any advice on how to brighten my skin again? Also, I've heard about PRP therapydo you think it might help in this situation?

While PRP therapy can be helpful for overall skin rejuvenation, it may not be a quick fix for pigmentation caused by long-term steroid use. It is best to focus on a brightening skincare routine with ingredients like Vitamin C, niacinamide, and retinoids, along with regular sun protection. If your pigmentation persists, laser treatments or other professional treatments may be helpful. Ultimately, its crucial to consult with a dermatologist to receive tailored advice and treatments

My hairline has been receding on the left side since around August. It's only been a few months but I'm worried it might get worse. Are there any treatments or medications that can help regrow hair or at least stop the receding? I'd prefer non-surgical options if possible.

Try minoxidil or finasteride (under doctor’s advice) to stop hair loss early—non-surgical treatments work better if started early.
