I'm really worried about my brother. His report shows he has Mycobacterium TB. Could you help me understand if this means it's in the early or late stage? Also, he coughed up a small amount of blood this morning and is having really bad chest pain. What stage might this be?

View allI'm having this annoying chest congestion that only seems to hit me at night. It's been a week now and it's making it really hard for me to sleep well. Could this be allergy, flu, or something more serious?
It sounds like you might be dealing with nighttime chest congestion, which could be triggered by allergies, post-nasal drip, or a mild respiratory infection like the flu. However, if it's persistent and affecting your sleep, it's best to get it checked by a doctor to rule out any underlying conditions.

Im thinking about getting a PFT test because my doctor suggested it for peace of mind. A few months back, I was dealing with thick phlegm and sputum due to bronchitis, and my doctor prescribed some meds that got me back to normal. But just to be safe, I'm considering a PFT test and maybe a CT chest scan and lung scan. Are the CT chest scan and lung scan the same thing, or are they different? Also, what should I do to prepare for them? Any advice would be really helpful.
For the confirmation of diagnosis ct chest is advised to the patient.

I'm really worried about my wife. She's been having fever and weakness for the past 15 days. They said she has TB pleural effluent and removed 950 ml of water from her lungs a week ago. The blood tests came back negative for dengue, malaria, and typhoid though. The doctor has given her Pyrazinamide, Rcinex, and Combutol. Another general physician suggested adding Loxof500 for 10 days to help with the fever and weakness. But I'm not sure if that's a good idea because isn't that for non-drug-resistant cases, like if other meds aren't working? Do you think we should just stick with the current medicines for a bit longer? The fever seems to come and go every 6 to 8 hours after taking paracetamol.
Yes,continue same treatment as advised by the physician.
