I'm really puzzled about this swollen lymph node I've had for 4 months. It's not changing in size at all and sometimes it hurts around my neck where it's swollen. Otherwise, I'm feeling healthy but I've noticed some weird stuff lately. Occasionally, I find what looks like black hair in my phlegm and at times, it's this greenish or greyish color. Plus, there's a kind of pressure in my throat and around my shoulder or neck blade when I take a deep breath. This all seemed to start after I got Covid in April. I also experience daily neck and back pain, probably because of my job, but I'm not completely sure if it's related. I'm just trying to understand what could be causing the swollen lymph node. Could you help me figure this out?

View allI've been feeling some pressure on the left side of my throat lately, and it's kind of hard to breathe at times, which makes me want to cough. There's this strange feeling on the left side of my chest too sometimes. I can still take deep breaths without any issues, but my pulse can be a bit high, like around 100 beats a minute. Generally, my health is fine, and the only medication I'm on is birth control pills. Should I be concerned about this? I'm traveling abroad right now and will be for the next two weeks, so I'm wondering if I need to do something about it or can wait until I'm back home.

Its a bit worrying, and I'm just wondering if this could point to some medical condition? Do you think its something serious that I should be concerned about?

I'm dealing with BPPV and it's been really tough. Every time I turn my head towards the left, it feels like the room is spinning and I lose my balance. I've seen two doctors about it. The first said there's no medication for this, but the second prescribed Valium 2 and Vertin 24 for a couple of weeks and suggested some tests. They also performed the Epley Maneuver and taught me how to do it at home. My schedule is pretty hectic since I work 23 days weekly, mostly overnight due to different time zones, and the doctor advised me not to stay up all night. I'm just really anxious about when this will get better because it's affecting my daily life and I'm worried about whether these medicines will help or if something more serious might happen.
BPPV can be uncomfortable and worrying, but with the right treatment (including the Epley Maneuver), most people recover fully. It may take some time, so try to be patient and follow your doctor's instructions. The medications you are taking are supportive in managing symptoms, but the physical therapy (Epley) is key to addressing the root cause. If the problem continues or worsens, dont hesitate to revisit your doctor for further advice.
