I'm really puzzled about this swollen lymph node I've had for 4 months. It's not changing in size at all and sometimes it hurts around my neck where it's swollen. Otherwise, I'm feeling healthy but I've noticed some weird stuff lately. Occasionally, I find what looks like black hair in my phlegm and at times, it's this greenish or greyish color. Plus, there's a kind of pressure in my throat and around my shoulder or neck blade when I take a deep breath. This all seemed to start after I got Covid in April. I also experience daily neck and back pain, probably because of my job, but I'm not completely sure if it's related. I'm just trying to understand what could be causing the swollen lymph node. Could you help me figure this out?

I've been dealing with a throat infection for the past 15 days and it's not getting any better. I've already taken a lot of antibiotics as the doctor prescribed, but it still hasn't cleared up. What should I do next? Could I be missing something important in my treatment?

In such cases, your doctor may consider prescribing a different class of antibiotics or other medications. You can try using lozenges containing Benzocaine or Dyclonine for symptomatic relief. Additionally, you can use over-the-counter pain relievers like Acetaminophen or Ibuprofen for pain and inflammation. Gargling with warm salt water can also help soothe your throat. If the symptoms persist, please consult your doctor for further evaluation and management.

How long does recovery usually take after concha bullosa surgery I'm considering it because of breathing issues headaches and trouble focusing while reading I heard it's a minor endoscopic procedure but I'm worried about taking time off work since I just started a new job Would I be okay to go back to work by Monday if I have the surgery on Saturday or is two days too soon for recovery

Recovery after concha bullosa surgery, especially a minor endoscopic procedure, usually takes a few days to a week, but full recovery might take longer. While some patients can return to work within a few days, others may experience mild discomfort for a few days after surgery. Two days after a Saturday surgery (by Monday) is likely too soon for most, and it's best to err on the side of caution and allow more time for recovery.

I'm dealing with tinnitus in both ears and have tried various medicines, including Tinnicar capsules. Unfortunately, after taking Tinnicar, my condition seems to have worsened. Is it possible that the capsules are causing side effects? I also have tonsils; could they be contributing to my tinnitus?

Its possible that Tinnicar worsened your tinnitus, especially if one of its ingredients didnt agree with your body. Discontinuing the capsule and consulting your doctor would be a good next step. Tonsil issues can also contribute to ear-related symptoms, so an ENT specialist might be able to help you explore if your tonsils are playing a role.
