I'm really puzzled about this swollen lymph node I've had for 4 months. It's not changing in size at all and sometimes it hurts around my neck where it's swollen. Otherwise, I'm feeling healthy but I've noticed some weird stuff lately. Occasionally, I find what looks like black hair in my phlegm and at times, it's this greenish or greyish color. Plus, there's a kind of pressure in my throat and around my shoulder or neck blade when I take a deep breath. This all seemed to start after I got Covid in April. I also experience daily neck and back pain, probably because of my job, but I'm not completely sure if it's related. I'm just trying to understand what could be causing the swollen lymph node. Could you help me figure this out?

I've been dealing with this dry cough for the past 10 days and I went to see a doctor. They gave me antibiotics and anti-allergy meds, but I'm not seeing any improvement. The doctor checked and said my chest and throat are clear. A few days ago, they suggested I use betadine solution for gargling, but my voice is still blocked and this dry cough just won't go away. Any idea what might be going on or what else I should try?

. Rest. Get plenty of sleep and rest your voice. Drink fluids. Drink plenty of water to keep the throat moist and prevent dehydration. Try comforting foods and beverage. Warm liquids broth, caffeine-free tea or warm water with honey and cold treats such as ice pops can soothe a sore throat. Gargle saltwater. A saltwater gargle of 1 teaspoon.
