I'm really concerned about my mom's health. We've been checking her spo2 levels since August using a pulse oximeter, and while the rest of my family stays above 95, hers fluctuates between 89 and 92. It's October now, and the readings haven't changed much. I'm worried about what might be causing this and if it's indicative of any particular health issue. Could this be something serious?

View allI've had TB when I was just 3 years old, which was like 22 years ago, and I recently found out it left some scars on my lungs. I never really knew about it until now when I went for a medical test for a job in Kuwait. I was so bummed to hear that I was declared medically unfit because of this. Now, I have another job offer from Saudi Arabia, and I really don't want to miss out on this chance. Is there any way to reduce the visibility of these scars? They seem pretty light to me and there's just two spots that show up on an X-ray. Can you suggest any treatment that could help them not show on the X-ray?
I understand your concerns. Scars in skin from past injury do not go away similarly scar due to old tuberculosis in lungs also do not go away and there is no treatment for same

I'm planning to move to the UAE, but I'm worried about the medical clearance because of an old chest x-ray I had in 2013. Back then, it showed some congestion in the hilum and increased bronchovascular markings that were thought to be due to an infection in my lower respiratory tract, and there were also some patchy segments of pneumonitis near the heart. Everything else on the x-ray was fine, though. Since then, I've been healthy and haven't had any breathing issues, just the occasional cold and cough. I also had really high IgE levels at that time, but I've quit smoking for almost three years now. I'm concerned about whether these markings could be considered scars on the x-ray. Is there a way to address this, or do you think it could affect my medical approval? Would love to hear your thoughts on this!
Old chest X-ray findings of increased broncho-vascular markings or pneumonitis typically resolve without leaving scars if the infection was treated properly. Since you've had no breathing issues and have quit smoking, it's unlikely these would appear as scars now. A fresh X-ray and consultation with a pulmonologist should clarify this.

Oxygen levels are fluctuating between 90 and 94. I'm really worried because the reports came back negative, but the CT scan shows positive for COVID-19. The hospital isn't allocating a bed. What should I do?
Take Tab paracetamol , tab mucinac , tab multivitamin, put oxygen mask if level less then 92 percent
