I'm feeling really breathless for the past 5 days, but I don't have any cough or flu symptoms. I've tried taking anti-allergic and anti-acidic nasal sprays, and Ive been using steam. I've also taken Novacef 500, Xyxal M, and Sompraz 40. I've got some relief, but it's not completely better. Could you give me some advice on what else I might try?

View allMy mom has bronchial asthma and had surgery to remove air from her lungs, but the X-ray still shows some air trapped inside. She's a bit overweight and tries to walk daily, but gets breathless after just a few steps. What can we do to help her breathe better and manage this?
To improve your mom's breathing and manage her air trapping after surgery, focus on managing her asthma, weight, and breathing exercises, and consider consulting with a pulmonologist

For a couple of weeks now, I've been having trouble taking deep breaths and can't seem to yawn properly. It's making me feel a bit dizzy. Ive seen some general doctors, and they said it might be because of a cold, but I'm not convinced. Could there be something more serious, like an issue with my heart or lungs? Any chance there might be a blockage or something?
Difficulty taking deep breaths, incomplete yawning, and associated dizziness can sometimes result from respiratory conditions like a cold or anxiety, but it's essential to rule out more serious issues involving the heart or lungs. Consulting a pulmonologist and a cardiologist for a comprehensive evaluation would be prudent. Recommended diagnostic tests include pulmonary function tests (PFTs) to assess lung function, a chest X-ray or CT scan to visualize lung structures, and an echocardiogram and electrocardiogram (ECG) to evaluate heart function. Keeping a symptom diary and discussing these details with your healthcare provider will aid in diagnosis.

I'm really worried about my lung health since I've been smoking. Can a chest X-ray catch lung cancer early, or is a CT scan a better option for detecting any issues? I'm trying to figure out the safest way to keep an eye on things.
better do ct scan if you are worried
