I'm experiencing a lot of burping and I seem to get short of breath. When I take an antacid and the gas goes away, my breathlessness seems to improve. Could GERD or the excessive burping be causing this breathlessness? It's a bit worrying, and I'd love to understand what's going on.

View allI'm really worried about my dad who's been dealing with acidity issues for the past 10 years. He's been taking Aciloc for a while now, and I can't help but wonder if there are any natural remedies or home cures that might help instead of relying on medicine. Also, are there any side effects from taking Aciloc for so long?
While Aciloc is effective in managing acidity, there are also some home remedies that can help alleviate symptoms. For example, he can try consuming smaller and more frequent meals, avoiding trigger foods like spicy or fatty foods, and maintaining a healthy weight. Additionally, drinking a glass of cold milk or eating a banana can also provide relief from acidity. As for the side effects of Aciloc, common ones may include headache, dizziness, diarrhea, and stomach pain. It is important to consult with a healthcare professional if any side effects persist or worsen.

I've had Crohn's disease since 2018 and my recent MRI and colonoscopy show my rectum has narrowed. I'm currently on mesalamine, azathioprine, and Shelcal livogen do you think I'll need surgery for this or can medication help reduce the risk of a rectum blockage?
If narrowing causes blockage risk or worsening symptoms, surgery may be needed—continue meds and monitor closely.
