Im diagnosed with LPP after biopsy.I started getting black pigmentation on face underarms n neck slowly. I didn't give imp to it initially. Then it started spreading n consulted doc. It's been two years I've got it. I started medications 6 months ago. I'm using tacrolimus ointment since Sept 2016 n I also took NBUVB for 3 months till 800mg. I use sunscreen lotion twice a day. But after phototherapy I felt my skin became more dry and dark so I quit it since I felt really depressed with my dark face n neck. Since I became more dark n dry skin I consulted another doc n he has suggested depiwhite and pynomax tx cream alternate nights. He also give xamic tablet for one month. When I researched about this tablet it says it's for stoppage of extra menstrual bleeding. My periods is regular. It stays for 3-4 days and I always get it 3-5 days early. So I'm worried if I should consume this tablet??? Can someone please guide???
It is understandable to have concerns about taking a medication that is typically used for a different purpose. In your case, Xamic tablet (Tranexamic Acid) can also be used to reduce skin pigmentation and improve skin tone in conditions like LPP. The recommended dosage for skin pigmentation is usually 250-500mg twice daily. It is important to follow your doctor's advice and continue with the prescribed treatment plan. If you have any further concerns or experience any side effects, it is best to discuss them with your doctor for proper guidance.
