I'm a non-smoker and had a case of tuberculosis back in 2015. For the last 1.8 years, I've been dealing with a buildup of phlegm, and I just found out my IgE level is 489 IUml. I've been dealing with a cough for about two months now. It kicked off with a cold, mostly staying dry, but whenever I get a cold again, it turns into a productive cough. Interestingly, after about a month and a half, it went away for like five days, but then both the cold and the cough came back. I've tried different medicines, but nothing seems to help. I'm genuinely worried about what's going on. What could be causing this persistent cough, and why aren't the medicines working? Any advice or should I be concerned?
