I'm dealing with asthma attacks that won't let up for the past four days and I'm having a really hard cough with phlegm. I've been using my inhaler, but it just keeps coming back. What's going on?

I've been non-stop coughing for three days now and the longest I can go without coughing is just a minute or two. There's a lot of phlegm and it's painful when I take deep breaths. I've already tried using my rescue inhaler and the nebulizer, but I'm still coughing a lot and wheezing. What could be going on, and what else can I do?
continue nebulization and take cough syrup ascoril twice a day

I'm having a tough time with my wheezing tonight and I've got a Foracort inhaler with me, but I just realized that it's expired by three years. It's really late now, and there aren't any pharmacies open. Is it safe to use this expired inhaler to get some relief until I can see a doctor?
See a specialist for accurate diagnosis and targeted treatment.
