I'm curious and a bit worried because I was diagnosed with TB back in July 2017, and while I've been clean for the last 3 months, the TB pretty much wrecked my left lung completely. There's no air flow or function left in it. My right lung has gotten really large and strong, but I'm seeing a heart and lung specialist who suggest that I might need to have the left lung removed. I've done some VQ scans and now I'm waiting for ego tests to check if my heart and the right lung are strong enough for the surgery. Do you think this surgery is a good idea for me, and what are the risks I should be thinking about?
