I'm a couple of days post-operation for piles and now I'm dealing with a fever, along with some cold symptoms and body pain. Is this something that just happens sometimes, or should I be worried that it's more serious?

Bathing after eating fruits like mango and banana is generally safe.

No specific gap is required, but consider:

  1. Digestion time: Wait at least 30-60 minutes after eating to allow for digestion.
  2. Blood sugar levels: Fruits like mango and banana can cause a temporary spike in blood sugar. Bathing shortly after may lead to:
    • Dizziness
    • Lightheadedness
    • Shivering

To be cautious:

  1. Wait 1-2 hours after eating fruits before bathing.
  2. Take a warm shower instead of a cold bath to avoid shocking your system.

No serious health issues will arise from bathing after eating fruits. However, being mindful of digestion time and blood sugar levels can ensure a comfortable bathing experience.

My mom's ultrasound report shows a small appendicolith. Can this be treated with medicine or is surgery the only option? I'm a bit worried and would like to understand what's best for her

A small appendicolith, a calcified deposit in the appendix, can be managed with either medication or surgery, depending on the presence of symptoms and other factors. While surgery (appendectomy) is often recommended, especially if appendicitis develops, some cases may be managed with antibiotics and pain relief, particularly if the appendicolith is small and the patient is otherwise healthy.
