I'm a bit concerned because my father has had laser prostate treatments twice before, once in 2011 when his prostate was 50mm, and then again in 2014 when it was 60mm. Despite that, he still has issues with prostate enlargement. By August 2015, his prostate had grown to 76mm. We decided to try ayurvedic treatment, and by October 2015, it's down to 56mm. Is this kind of fluctuation normal, and should we be worried about long-term effects or stability, especially since he has gone through both laser and ayurvedic treatments? Any advice on what to keep an eye on or consider moving forward?

View allI have a 6 mm kidney stone stuck in the left ureter near the bladder, and my doctor is recommending ureteroscopy surgery. I'm not in India right now I live in Kuwait and I'm wondering if this can be treated with medicine instead or if surgery is really necessary. The CT report shows the stone's location clearly. What would be the best option for me?
Lithotripsy, open suprapubic cystomy, transurethral cystolithopaxy are few surgery methoda advised to the patient.

I had kidney stone surgery before and now there's a 10mm stone again causing occasional pain sometimes it's fine what treatment options do I have this is really urgent
For a 10mm kidney stone that's causing occasional pain, and with a history of previous surgery, treatment options include medical expulsive therapy (MET) with medications to help the stone pass, or a procedure like ureteroscopic lithotripsy (URSL) to break up the stone with a laser. If the pain is severe or the stone is not passing, a more invasive procedure like percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) might be considered

My dad's been prescribed Cifran 500 mg twice a day for 10 days because he's dealing with a urine infection and prostate issues. He's been getting this faint stomach ache every time he takes it, which I read might be a side effect of Cifran. It's making him uncomfortable, especially when he's trying to sleep. What should we do about this?
Cifran was prescribed based on experience of the Doctor or it was based on urine culture and sensitivity. You may ask your doctor to change the antibiotics if he can. Minimal stomach ache will be there with 99% antibiotics
