Question
I'm 7 weeks pregnant and my doctor advised me to take Folvite tablets once in the morning. But I've been taking them at night instead. Could this affect my pregnancy? I'm really worried about it. What should I do?

ESR (Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate) is a blood test that measures inflammation.
Interpreting ESR Results
- Normal range: 0-20 mmhr (may vary slightly depending on the lab).
- Elevated ESR: 42 mmhr is almost double the normal range, indicating moderate inflammation.
Possible Causes
- Infections: Bacterial, viral, or fungal infections.
- Autoimmune disorders: Rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, or other conditions.
- Chronic diseases: Diabetes, kidney disease, or liver disease.
- Cancer: In some cases, elevated ESR can be associated with cancer.
Next Steps
- Consult your doctor: Discuss the test results and determine the best course of action.
- Further testing: Your doctor may recommend additional tests, such as:
- Blood cultures to check for infections.
- Autoantibody tests to rule out autoimmune disorders.
- Imaging tests (e.g., X-rays, ultrasound) to check for underlying conditions.
- Monitor and follow-up: Schedule regular check-ups to monitor your mom's ESR levels and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
